Production Time
Each piece of jewelry from MOI Studios is handcrafted with great care and goes through several precisely coordinated steps. The entire production process typically takes 8 to 12 weeks – depending on the design, chosen material, and any custom requests.
Your dream ring in 4 steps
1. CAD Design (1–3 weeks)
Once your order is placed, the desired ring design is first created digitally. Our designers develop a precise 3D model (CAD), which serves as the foundation for the entire production process.
2. 3D Wax Casting (1–2 weeks)
Based on the CAD model, a highly detailed wax prototype is created using 3D printing. This serves as the mold for casting and allows even the finest design elements to be accurately replicated.
3. Precious Metal Casting (2–3 weeks)
The wax model is then cast into your chosen precious metal – yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, or platinum – using a traditional casting process. This forms the raw shape of the ring, which is then refined.
4. Finishing (3–4 weeks)
In the final steps, the ring is meticulously polished, the gemstone is set, engravings are added if requested, and every detail is perfected. Only once every element meets our standards of quality does the piece leave the workshop.
